How do I subscribe to this service?

Is there any research that proves how effective this is?
Yes! Research shows that:
dwell time on receipts is typically 8 to 12 seconds
receipt is typically viewed more than 5 times over a 2 week period
carried everywhere with the customer = a constant reminder and a call to action.
Compared to any other form of direct marketing this media is highly targeted, configurable and cost effective.
Further this sort of receipt messaging is currently used very effectively by the largest UK retailers
A message profile is one message that is set up on the system.
This message can be sent to an unlimited number of customers.
This message can be set up to go to all, or only a selected number or type of customer
Every time you add a new message or amend an existing one you will use up 1 message profile from your account.
How to I add or update the messages?
You simply have to either:
- Go into your account and add a message (click here and fill in the messages)
- If you subscribe to Service Plus you can call up at any time, and one of our helpful staff will do everything over the phones for you. From setting up your account to adding and updating your messages. Call 0845 862 0226
How long will it take to process my messages and make them live?
You should allow up to 24 hours for your message to upload onto the system.
How and when do I pay for the service?
Typically you subscribe to a package which gives you a certain number of message profiles included. You can then buy additional message profiles as and when they need them.

You can either:
set the date and time you want the message to stop, or
limit the number of messages you want to issue (useful with vouchers) or
simply log into the website, select the message and deactivate it. It will be de-activated within 24 hours.
How do I know which of my terminals will issue the messages?
Your messages will only be issued to the terminals that you register on the Adshot website and for each message profile you can select which terminals this message is allowed to go to.
Registering will enable you to send an unlimited messages / vouchers for up to 1 year. You then simply decide how many different messages to buy.

How do I login if I forget my login details?
Call Adshot on 0845 862 0226 explain you have forgotten your login details and we will find them for you.
What types of messages can I put?
You can choose to put ANY kind of message / voucher, for example:
Thank you for shopping here, we wish you a merry xmas. Our holiday opening times are 10:00 – 16:00 Boxing day etc.
We stock the new range of XYZ trainers now – as seen on TV

To help you, whenever you enter your own messages into the system the automatic receipt viewer will show you how it will appear when printed.
What are the terms and conditions?
Can I modify a message once it has been submitted?
Yes. Login into the site and edit and resubmit the message. Please note that submitting a new version of the old message requires a new message profile.
Can I stop or delete a message?
Yes. Login into the site, click on Summary of Message Status, select Edit and change the status of the appropriate message to Suspend. Please click Access My Account to stop a message.

I only have one till in my outlet is this still available to me?
Absolutely! It does not matter what size you are. This is a proven concept by major retailers across the country, who typically have spent £100m investing in this technology.

Will I get charged more for printing more messages?
You can issue as many messages as you like (i.e. to as many customers as you have with NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE). You simply pay by the number of different messages you set up.

Will this slow down my transactions?
NO absolutely NOT. Messages are delivered via your existing card processing machine without impacting the transaction processing time.
How long will it take to set me up on this service?
As soon as you have registered Streamline will take 24 hours to switch you onto this service. Once you have submitted your messages, they will start being issued within 24 hours.
How do I know how to word my messages?
Have a look at the example messages for some ideas of which messages have worked for other retailers – and use your imagination!

I would prefer to have telephone support for creating my messages
We can offer you telephone support to set up your messages. This is called 'Service Plus' and costs a small premium. Please click How Much Does It Cost
Why do you charge for telephone support?
The Streamline Adshot service is designed primarily as an internet based tool. This helps us to keep our costs to a minimum and means we can offer you this very sophisticated service at very attractive rates. We want to ensure that all our customers get the service they require so to keep prices down, we only charge our customers for the level of service they request.
Please note that we only charge for a telephone service for setting up your message profiles Service Plus. We do NOT charge for general customer queries about your account.
I am not a Streamline customer. How can I subscribe to this service?

The formatting of the message does not look correct
Please check you have set up your message profiles correctly by going to the Message Summary and editing the appropriate message. Be sure to look at the formatting in the message viewer on the page Message Entry – Part 1 which should show you what your message should look like when printed. Amend the text to suit the way you want it to look.
Check that the message shows as live on your customer page.

I changed the message and it is still printing the old message

What does 'Status' mean against my message profiles?
Draft – this message profile has not yet been submitted by you, but saved on the system for you to amend
Upload – this message profile has been submitted by you but is not yet 'live' on your terminal.
Live – this message profile is currently 'live' on your terminal and messages will be issued to your selected customers.
Suspend – this message profile has been suspended from its 'live' status. It is not currently being issued but can be edited and uploaded again
Expired – this message profile has finished issuing messages and is no longer live.
My message status shows upload. Why isn't it 'live' immediately.
There will always be a time delay between your message profile being uploaded and going live. This should be no more than 24 hours. Please contact us at info@adshot.co.uk or telephone on 0845 862 0226 if more than 24 hours have passed since uploading your message.
My message status shows live but no messages are printing.
Your message profile will show as live once we have processed it. However, if you have set the campaign dates for a period in the future, the message will not start issuing until the campaign date starts. Please check your campaign dates on the message profile.
You should also check the criteria you set up for the message as it may be possible that the message has not printed as you have not processed a transaction which qualifies to trigger it.
If the correct times and criteria are entered but the message is not printing, please contact us at info@adshot.co.uk or telephone on 0845 862 0226.
How to I add or update the messages?
You simply have to either:
- Go into your account and add a message - click here and fill in the messages
- If you subscribe to Service Plus you can call up at any time, and one of our helpful staff will do everything over the phones for you. From setting up your account to adding and updating your messages. Call 0845 862 0226.
